Join the Laurel tradition
Come celebrate Earth Day in Oakland’s Laurel District by volunteering at the Laurel Art Garden (35TH Ave. & Delaware St.) from 9am-12 noon on Saturday, April 23rd.
Volunteers will help clean, trim weeds and vegetation, and help map out the upcoming work areas for the new landscape design donated by Patricia St. John, landscape designer & Merritt College professor. Bring your own tools & gloves–we will have the rest. And water and snacks and other treats.
The work day is being organized by the Laurel Village Association—Neighbors Building Community. Come on out and make the neighborhood look good and make a few friends.
