Art Garden Clean Up and Celebration March 9
This is not our usual Garden Workday but an opportunity has presented itself. Normally, we work on the third Saturday of the month. But this Saturday will be our clean up and art work day. We will be digging holes and mounting our new sign created by John Donivan.
The main reason we are working this weekend is that Cyrille Waterman will be given a Local Hero award for 2013by LVA. Cyrille has been helping with the art garden for a few years now and he will be photographed by Sherri Hu Nichols-retired KPIX newswoman, who is now involved with a media & mentoring program for Oakland Unified School District.
For those who can come by, pull a few weeds or do some trimming, we’d love for you to be a part of this event. Bring your gloves and work tools. We’ll have some snacks and drinks.
